Scott-Long Construction, a leading commercial construction company in Northern Virginia, has completed a significant project at Temple Sinai in Washington, DC. The project includes a two-story addition with new meeting rooms, gathering spaces, and a redesigned main entrance, as well as the installation of a ventilated rainscreen system for improved air circulation, water drainage, and weather protection.

“We are very excited to continue making these high-performance upgrades to Temple Sinai that will benefit students, parents, and staff,” said John Scott, CEO of Scott-Long Construction.

In addition to the rainscreen, Scott-Long also updated the parking lot, sidewalks, lighting, stormwater structures, and boardwalk to improve accessibility and functionality for the entire Temple Sinai community.
David Stutts, President of Cladding Corp, commented, “The fiber cement panels used in a rainscreen application will provide numerous benefits, including moisture control, facade preservation, thermal insulation, and increased energy efficiency.”
These updates represent a major step forward in enhancing Temple Sinai’s facilities, creating a welcoming and functional space for all visitors.
