Sundt Construction has promoted Zachary Young to senior project manager within its Southwest Water & Wastewater Group, expanding his leadership role on major municipal water projects.

Young currently manages the Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation project, which is being developed to support the City of Phoenix's first advanced water purification facility. The facility is expected to play a key role in the city's long-term water sustainability strategy and future direct potable reuse program.

Leadership Role in Water Infrastructure

In his new position, Young will continue overseeing project delivery for municipal water and wastewater clients across the Southwest. His current assignment focuses on modernizing the Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant to improve treatment capabilities and prepare the facility for advanced water purification.

The rehabilitation project represents an important investment in Phoenix's water infrastructure as municipalities across the region seek to strengthen long-term water reliability through reuse and treatment upgrades.

Experience Across Major Utility Projects

Young has contributed to several large-scale water infrastructure programs during his career. His project experience includes work on the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Headworks Project in California, the Wilson Creek Expansion Project for the North Texas Municipal Water District, and multiple municipal water projects for Pima County and Tucson Water in Arizona.

Beyond project delivery, Young participates in the Arizona Water Association and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Eastern Kentucky University.
