Terra Breaks Ground on $1B Upland Park Transit Hub in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. — February 26, 2025 – Miami-based developer Terra has officially broken ground on Upland Park, a $1 billion transit-oriented, mixed-use community designed to enhance connectivity and urban living in West Miami-Dade County.
The 47-acre development, located near the Dolphin Park-and-Ride Transit Terminal Facility, will introduce over 2,000 residential units, retail and commercial spaces, and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Construction on the first phase is underway, marking the beginning of a transformative project aimed at creating a dynamic, walkable neighborhood.

Project Overview & Phase One Details
The Upland Park master plan will unfold in multiple phases, ultimately delivering:
✅ 2,000+ mid-rise and garden-style multifamily units
✅ 282,000 square feet of retail space
✅ 414,000 square feet of commercial space
Phase one, currently under construction, features 578 apartments, with completion expected by 2026. The general contractor for the project is Davie, Florida-based ANF Group, while Doral-based PPK Architects designed the buildings in collaboration with Arquitectonica (master plan architect) and Plusurbia Design (urban planner).

“Upland Park is designed to provide a vibrant, transit-oriented community that enhances accessibility, convenience, and quality of life for residents,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra.

🏡 Pines Garden at City Center – A garden-apartment community in Pembroke Pines
In addition, Terra is developing Centro City, a 38-acre mixed-use project near Little Havana, set to include up to 1,200 apartments.
Impact & Vision for Miami’s Future
Upland Park is part of a broader movement toward sustainable, transit-oriented development in Miami, where demand for walkable communities with access to public transportation continues to rise.
