Village West Condo Project Completed at 525 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan’s West Village

Construction has officially wrapped on The Village West, a 13-story residential development located at 525 Sixth Avenue in the West Village neighborhood of New York City. The project marks the completion of a 145-foot-tall structure that brings new condominium housing and retail space to a prominent corner just south of Chelsea.

Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Izaki Group, the building spans approximately 123,000 square feet and delivers 68 condominium units alongside two ground-floor retail storefronts. The property is also addressed as 100–106 West 14th Street and sits at the intersection of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue.

Recent progress has seen the removal of construction barriers and fencing, revealing the building’s detailed façade and large window openings along Sixth Avenue. Crews are now completing final interior work on retail spaces and entry points, signaling the project’s transition from construction to occupancy readiness.

Design, Scale and Urban Integration

The Village West introduces a carefully detailed façade that blends contemporary construction with contextual design elements suited to the surrounding West Village streetscape. The building’s scale and architectural articulation aim to complement nearby historic structures while delivering modern residential density.

Its location offers immediate access to transit, with the 14th Street subway station positioned at the base of the development, connecting residents to multiple lines and enhancing mobility across Manhattan. The project’s placement at a key transit node reinforces its role in supporting urban infill and transit-oriented development strategies in lower Manhattan.

The development also reflects broader trends in New York City residential construction, where mid-sized condominium projects are being designed to maximize livability while integrating into established neighborhoods.

Amenities and Residential Offerings

The Village West includes a wide array of amenities designed to meet evolving resident expectations for wellness, convenience and shared spaces. Lower-level amenities feature a yoga studio, recovery studio equipped with hydrotherapy and cryotherapy, an infrared sauna, steam room, massage room, children’s playroom, pet washing station, bicycle storage and a laundry facility.

At ground level, residents have access to a private outdoor courtyard and a fitness club, while second-floor offerings include a bar and lounge, billiards room, golf simulator and coworking lounge, along with an additional outdoor courtyard.

Rooftop amenities further expand communal space with an outdoor lounge, private dining area and a kitchen equipped with barbecue grilling facilities. These features align with increasing demand for integrated lifestyle amenities within urban residential developments.

Sales and marketing for the condominiums are being handled by CORE, positioning the project within Manhattan’s competitive high-end residential market.

The completion of The Village West adds to the growing inventory of boutique condominium developments in the West Village, a neighborhood known for its limited development sites and strong demand for new housing. The project underscores continued investment in residential construction across Manhattan, particularly in transit-accessible and historically significant districts.
