Turner Construction has reached a significant construction milestone on Hudson Valley Community College's new Applied Technology Education Center, signaling continued progress on a project aimed at expanding workforce training capacity in New York.
The milestone marks completion of the building's structural steel framework as construction advances toward interior and building systems work.
The Applied Technology Education Center will encompass approximately 130,000 square feet and provide instructional space focused on technical workforce development.
Plans for the facility include specialized laboratories, adaptable classrooms, collaborative learning environments and dedicated training areas supporting programs in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor technology, engineering, robotics and clean energy. With the structural frame now complete, construction will continue toward enclosure, interior build-out and installation of building systems as the project moves closer to completion.
