The United Association's International Training Fund is providing financial assistance to eligible participants attending the 2026 Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Field Leaders Conference in Portland, Oregon.

Grant Program Supports Leadership Training

The UA International Training Fund is offering grants of up to $5,500 for qualified U.S.-based UA/MCAA Foreman Administrators who attend the Sept. 16-18 conference.

Eligible applicants must have completed the UA Education and Training Department's Foreman Certification Course and serve as administrators responsible for overseeing the Foreman Certification Examination at local union training centers.

The grant is intended to help offset the cost of attending the professional development event.

Conference Focus

The MCAA Field Leaders Conference is designed to strengthen leadership skills for field supervisors by emphasizing business management, operational performance and project execution.

The event is supported and co-hosted by the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association of Oregon and aims to help field leaders improve decision-making and contribute to company performance through effective jobsite leadership.

Why It Matters

Mechanical contractors continue to invest in leadership development as labor shortages and increasingly complex projects place greater demands on field supervision. Programs that combine professional training with financial assistance can help contractors strengthen workforce capabilities while preparing supervisors for expanded management responsibilities.
