The award was announced during Volvo CE’s annual dealer meeting held in conjunction with CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas this March. The recognition highlights dealers that demonstrate excellence in service, customer uptime and market share.

Power Equipment Co., headquartered in Brighton, has been a longtime partner of Volvo CE and is celebrating its 90th year in business. The dealership supports customers across seven locations in Colorado and New Mexico.

Investment in Facilities and Service Capabilities

A key factor in the award was the company’s recent investment in infrastructure and service improvements. In 2025, Power Equipment Co. opened a new 52,000-square-foot headquarters in Brighton designed to enhance operational efficiency and customer support.

The facility includes 17 service bays and a dedicated training center aimed at improving technician development and service quality. In addition, the company implemented a centralized field service dispatch system to improve response times and reduce equipment downtime for customers.

Volvo CE leaders said these investments reflect a strong commitment to both people and technology.

“The Power Equipment Co. team has committed to and invested in people and technology that ensure their customers get the right machine, right services and right advice every time,” said Scott Young, head of the North America region at Volvo CE. “As a partner to Volvo CE, they’re helping set the standard for how a dealership can drive long-term value through a customer-focused approach and deep-rooted expertise.”

The dealership also reported significant growth in equipment sales and rental fleet capacity in 2025, further strengthening its market position.

Longstanding Partnership and Industry Impact

Power Equipment Co.’s relationship with Volvo CE spans four decades, a partnership that has supported contractors across the region with equipment for construction, demolition and material handling projects.

Company leadership credited its workforce for the recognition, emphasizing a culture centered on service and reliability.

“This comes down to our people, plain and simple,” said Mark Kuhn, vice president at Power Equipment Co. “We do not chase awards. We show up, do the work and stand behind our customers when it counts. This is the result of a team that is driven to deliver.”

Volvo CE, part of the Volvo Group, noted that the award reflects not only performance metrics but also a dealer’s ability to deliver consistent value to customers in a competitive market.

As contractors increasingly demand faster service, reduced downtime and advanced equipment solutions, dealers play a critical role in supporting project timelines and productivity.

Power Equipment Co.’s recognition underscores the importance of investing in both infrastructure and workforce development to meet evolving industry needs. With continued growth in construction activity across the western United States, the dealership is positioned to expand its role in supporting contractors and infrastructure projects.
