TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women’s soccer freshman Addyson Warner has been named this week’s Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week, the athletic department announced Monday afternoon.

Warner, a Dana Point, California native, made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut week. On Sunday, she scored two first-half goals in the Sycamores’ commanding 13-0 victory over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Entering the match in the 21st minute, Warner wasted no time announcing her arrival. She netted her first collegiate goal at the 28:03 mark off an assist from Ashlyn Cohen, then followed up just four minutes later with a second goal at 32:11, extending Indiana State’s lead to 5-0.
Warner closed the night with two goals on three shots in only 25 minutes of action, showcasing her scoring instinct and efficiency.
Her debut week began on Thursday in a matchup against Purdue, where Warner registered one of the Sycamores’ four total shots. Her second-half attempt from near midfield narrowly missed the mark, signaling her confidence and attacking mindset even against tough competition.
“The freshman has shown an incredible ability to make her presence felt right away,” the department noted, praising her quick adjustment to the college game.
Warner’s performance not only highlighted Indiana State’s season-opening week but also set the tone for her collegiate career. With her early success, she is expected to become a key contributor for the Sycamores moving forward.
The Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week honor will be awarded weekly throughout the 2025–26 athletic season, spotlighting standout performances across all sports programs at the university.
