Wisconsin Construction Worker Airlifted After Two-Story Fall on Job Site

A construction worker in southeastern Wisconsin was seriously injured Monday morning after falling two stories from a structure under construction in Twin Lakes, prompting an emergency medical response and airlift to a trauma center.
First responders from Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue and the Town of Randall Fire Department were dispatched at approximately 7:18 a.m. to the job site after receiving reports of a worker who had fallen from the second floor of the building. According to officials from the Twin Lakes Fire Department, the worker sustained significant injuries and was bleeding from the ear at the time emergency crews arrived, an indicator of possible head trauma.

Kenosha Joint Services confirmed the injury and severity of the fall, which occurred on a construction site that has not yet been publicly identified.
Given the seriousness of the injuries, a Flight for Life helicopter was called in to transport the individual to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Froedtert is the region’s premier Level I Trauma Center, specializing in advanced care for critical injuries. The helicopter landing zone was quickly established at Randall Fire Station One to facilitate rapid evacuation.
At this time, no additional information about the worker’s identity or medical condition has been released by officials.
Twin Lakes Fire/Rescue issued a public statement of gratitude to the Town of Randall Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Wheatland Fire Department, and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office for their coordinated response to the incident.
Though construction work often carries inherent risks, incidents like this serve as reminders of the ongoing importance of site safety and fall protection standards.
Falls remain one of the leading causes of injury and fatality in the construction industry, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Employers are urged to ensure proper use of harnesses, guardrails, and training to mitigate these risks.
No further details have been made public regarding the cause of the fall or whether an OSHA investigation has been launched in response to the incident.
