American Global Strengthens California Presence with Appointment of Kim Sautter-Ramos
LOS ANGELES — American Global has taken another major step in growing its West Coast operations by welcoming insurance executive Kim Sautter-Ramos as Vice President. She will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles-area office, working closely with California President Christine Philips to develop a high-performing team and lead strategic regional initiatives.
The company plans to host the official grand opening of its new Southern California offices next month at The Trillium in Woodland Hills, signaling the firm’s increasing investment in the region.
A Veteran Leader With Construction Insurance Expertise
Sautter-Ramos joins American Global with over 30 years of insurance industry experience, including more than two decades focused specifically on construction. Her background spans group captives, project placements, and complex risk programs. She has built a reputation as a strong negotiator with a client-first approach.
At American Global, she will oversee the California insurance team, mentor new talent, and expand relationships across carriers, clients, and industry partners. Her role will include:
- Leading business development efforts in the state
- Supporting existing clients and strategic growth plans
- Representing the firm at regional associations and events
- Building partnerships with contractors, developers and owners
Prior to her new role, Sautter-Ramos served as Vice President of Construction – Practice Lead at IMA Financial Group, where she helped launch and scale a dedicated Construction Practice Group. Her earlier work at a large international brokerage gave her deep experience working with national and global clients.
