Black Construction-Tutor Perini Joint Venture Secures $113.3 Million P-541 Missile Integration Test Facility Contract in Guam
LOS ANGELES -- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil, building, and specialty construction company, has announced that it, in partnership with its subsidiary Black Construction Corporation, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $113.3 million by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific. This contract is for the construction of the P-541 Missile Integration Test Facility at Naval Base Guam.
The project, part of the Pacific Deterrence Initiative, involves building a single-story concrete facility that spans 57,664 square feet and rests on a deep pile foundation. The new test facility will feature missile processing spaces, a missile test cell equipped with a test control room, an administration area, as well as storage and utility rooms. Additional scope includes the demolition of an existing building, site improvements, and all necessary supporting facilities. The facility will be fully equipped with plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, electrical power, telecommunications, life safety and fire protection systems, along with an emergency power generator and associated fuel tank.
Construction is expected to commence shortly, with substantial completion projected for December 2028. The contract value has been added to the Company's backlog in the third quarter of 2024.
