C.W. Driver Cos. Tops Out on CSUSB Palm Desert Student Services building

C.W. Driver Companies, a leading general contractor, has achieved the topping out milestone on the Student Services building at California State University San Bernardino’s Palm Desert location. The project received a $79M budget allocation from the support of California State Assemblymembers Eduardo Garcia and Chad Mayes.

The new 23,700 assignable -assignable-square-foot Student Services building will provide ample space for students to study, collaborate, and unwind after classes. Notable features the two-story building will contain include:
1. Multi-purpose rooms and classrooms
2. Group study rooms
3. A student health center
4. A recreation and wellness center
5. Food services
6. Library
7. Campus bookstore
8. Career Center
9. Advising and tutoring center
10. Cross-cultural and affinity centers
11. University police offices
The building also includes a storage and loading dock space, and the site will include the renovation of over 200 new parking stalls. This phase also consists of significant sitework and landscape improvements, utility extensions, and new outdoor recreation areas.
As the Coachella Valley continues to grow in population, the new Student Services Building at CSU’s Palm Desert campus continues support education and development opportunities within the region. It is slated to complete in 2027.
