GREENVILLE, S.C. — Cameron Ashley Building Products announced that David Chaika has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 2, 2025. With more than 28 years of financial leadership across manufacturing, distribution, and corporate strategy, Chaika is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s growth trajectory and operational excellence.

Chaika’s career includes senior roles at Masco Corporation, a Fortune 500 home improvement and building products manufacturer, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis, investor relations, corporate development, and treasury. He also served as interim CFO during a period of organizational transition. Before joining Masco, Chaika began his career in commercial banking and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, bringing a background of discipline and leadership to his corporate work.
Most recently, Chaika served as CFO of the PSE Group, a Michigan-based company, where he led improvements in financial operations, drove cost discipline, and supported strategic expansion efforts.
At Cameron Ashley, Chaika will lead the company’s overall financial strategy, including capital allocation, sustainable growth planning, and margin optimization. He will also partner with senior leadership across divisions to align financial initiatives with broader corporate priorities, ensuring continued support for customers, supplier partners, and employees.
