Catamount Constructors Realigns Leadership to Drive Growth in Florida, Atlanta

Catamount Constructors, Inc., a 100% employee-owned national general contractor, has announced a series of leadership transitions aimed at strengthening operational alignment and supporting growth across Florida, Atlanta, and its national industrial platform.
The leadership changes are designed to enhance regional execution, expand industrial capabilities, and ensure consistent delivery standards across key Southeast and national markets.

Mitch Brown has transitioned into the role of Senior Vice President, Florida, after previously leading Catamount’s Atlanta Business Unit. In his new position, Brown will oversee operations throughout Florida, including project execution, team development, and client relationships, as the company continues to expand its presence in Tampa and other markets across the state. Brown brings 23 years of experience spanning Industrial, Healthcare, Commercial Office, Multifamily, Municipal, and Hospitality construction. Since joining Catamount in 2019, he has led complex projects across the Southeast while guiding teams through all phases of delivery, from preconstruction to closeout. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Auburn University.
Stephanie Martinez, Vice President, Industrial, will continue to serve in a national leadership role while transitioning day-to-day Tampa office leadership and Florida operations to Brown. In her ongoing position, Martinez will focus on strengthening strategic industrial client relationships, supporting complex project delivery, and reinforcing consistent standards across Catamount’s industrial portfolio. Martinez was instrumental in opening Catamount’s Tampa office three years ago, establishing a regional hub to better serve national industrial clients and advance the firm’s long-term industrial strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Andy Brown has been promoted to Senior Vice President and will now lead Catamount’s Atlanta Business Unit. In this role, he will oversee operations and project delivery across Georgia, the Carolinas, and surrounding markets. Brown brings 20 years of experience across preconstruction, contracting, design management, development support, and business development. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University.
“Mitch, Stephanie, and Andy bring a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex projects. These strategic transitions reflect our commitment to investing in talent while strengthening our operational capacity and market presence. By aligning leadership this way, we are positioned to support our clients with experienced guidance, seamless project delivery, and expanded capabilities across key markets,” commented James Benning, CEO at Catamount.
Company leaders said the realignment reflects Catamount’s broader strategy to scale responsibly while maintaining strong local leadership in high-growth markets. Florida continues to be a priority region for the firm, driven by industrial, multifamily, healthcare, and commercial development activity, while Atlanta remains a cornerstone market supporting operations across the Southeast.
By shifting leadership responsibilities, Catamount aims to leverage deep market expertise while strengthening its national industrial platform, ensuring that clients benefit from consistent execution standards regardless of geography. The company’s employee-owned structure further supports long-term decision-making focused on quality, collaboration, and leadership development.
As Catamount approaches three decades of operation, the firm continues to emphasize internal advancement, operational excellence, and market diversification. Leadership said these changes position the company to better serve clients across Industrial, Build-to-Rent, Multifamily, Senior Living, Healthcare, Office, Retail, Energy, Automotive, and Government sectors nationwide.
