DPR Announces New Leadership for Northwest Region

Jack Poindexter Takes Regional Lead; Kevin Chen and Chris Strock Named Bay Area Business Unit Co-Leaders.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Jan. 9, 2025 – DPR Construction, a leading technical builder, has announced key leadership transitions to support its growing operations in the Northwest and California’s Bay Area.

Jack Poindexter will now lead DPR’s Northwest region, which includes the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Pacific Northwest business units. Kevin Chen and Chris Strock have been named co-leaders of DPR’s Bay Area Business Unit. All three leaders bring decades of expertise and a commitment to DPR’s core markets and innovative building practices, including self-perform work, prefabrication, and virtual design.

Poindexter, who joined DPR in 1999, has played a pivotal role in significant projects like UCSF Medical Center Mission Bay. Reflecting on his new role, he said, “DPR started in this region, and it’s where many of our leaders got their start. I’m honored to follow in their footsteps and begin a new chapter in DPR’s history.”

Chen and Strock will lead the Bay Area Business Unit, one of Silicon Valley’s top contractors. Both have long-standing careers with DPR, contributing to high-profile projects and fostering innovation. Chen has focused on advanced tech campuses, while Strock’s expertise spans challenging projects and self-perform integration.

DPR’s Northwest region, home to nearly 1,200 employees, will see further growth in 2025 with the opening of a new net-zero Silicon Valley office. This 113,702-sq.-ft. facility will house DPR’s corporate and regional operations, as well as a Prefabrication Assembly Facility, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.
