F.H. Paschen Ranks #78 on ENR’s New Contracts List as Pipeline Grows And National Footprint Expands

CHICAGO, IL – F.H. Paschen, a leader in national commercial construction and infrastructure, has earned the #78 spot on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts list.
While traditional rankings look back at past revenue, the New Contracts index looks forward and serves as a key indicator of market trust, upcoming work, and future stability.
Landing in the top 80 follows a strong year of project wins across aviation, transit, civil infrastructure, education, and commercial markets. It also comes during a period of deliberate geographic expansion, with F.H. Paschen recently opening new offices in Merrillville, Indiana, and Galveston, Texas, alongside expanding its operations in Detroit.
“In today's competitive construction landscape, winning new contracts comes down to your reputation in the market and who clients trust with their upcoming investments,” said Chuck Freiheit, COO of F.H. Paschen. “Ranking #78 in America reflects our team's growth strategy and proves that our clients have confidence in our ability to deliver their long-term projects.”
The steady influx of work is driven by the company’s ability to handle various project delivery methods, ranging from large-scale design-build and construction management at-risk assignments to nimble, quick-turnaround Job Order Contracting (JOC) programs.
“Growth is part of F.H. Paschen’s DNA, and our growth in Michigan, Indiana, Florida and Texas are natural extensions of who we are,” said Tom Cross, Chief Growth Officer. “Securing these new contracts ensures we have a stable, diverse backlog that positions us to hire local talent and build critical infrastructure for years to come.”
Also in 2026, F.H. Paschen was named as the #137 overall largest contractor in America by Engineering News-Record (ENR) in its 2026 Top 400 Contractors list.
