FLEX supports the next generation of skilled trades at the SkillsUSA 2026 Championships

ATLANTA – June 1-5, 2026 – FLEX, a leading power tools manufacturer, is proud to support career and technical education students attending the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference and competing in the SkillsUSA Championships, where thousands of student competitors from across the country will put their skills to the test in hands-on competitions.
Held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, the event attracts more than 19,000 attendees and brings together more than 6,800 student competitors in over 100 skilled trade, technical and leadership categories.
As part of its ongoing commitment to workforce development, FLEX has donated power tools to equip the TeamWorks construction competition, where student teams collaborate to build small-scale structures under real-world conditions. The competition highlights not only technical ability, but also teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
“Events like SkillsUSA show what’s possible when students have the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting,” said Kevin Gee, director of the FLEX business segment at Chervon North America. “We’re proud to support these students as they learn, collaborate and take the next step toward careers in the trades.”
Students competing in TeamWorks will use a range of FLEX tools throughout the build process. In recent years, FLEX has supported the event with a broad mix of power tools, from impact drivers and circular saws to accessories and storage solutions, helping ensure competitors have tools to complete their work.
“Having access to power tools that are used on construction jobsites every day is critical to training the next generation of our skilled workforce,” said Chelle Travis, Executive Director of SkillsUSA, the No. 1 workforce development organization for students. “FLEX’s support at the SkillsUSA Championships helps to create an environment where students can concentrate on teamwork, precision and execution—skills that directly translate to career readiness.”
FLEX will host a booth (#280) at the SkillsUSA TECHSPO, where attendees can explore tools that power the trades, including:
- Impact drivers and hammer drills
- Circular and reciprocating saws
- Oscillating multi-tools
- STACK PACK™ storage
Designed as an interactive experience, the FLEX booth will offer hands-on opportunities for students and attendees to engage with tools, learn more about careers in the trades and connect with a brand committed to supporting workforce development and future job opportunities in the trades.
FLEX will provide kits to 24 competition winners. Each winner will receive a FLEX 24V two-tool combo kit that includes a hammer drill with turbo mode, quick eject impact driver, two batteries, and a charger—providing a strong foundation for drilling and fastening applications as they begin their careers in the trades.
FLEX 24V tools, batteries and chargers are backed by a five-year warranty with registration, delivering more battery power, extended runtime and fast charging within the FLEX 24V system. All FLEX products are available on Amazon and authorized dealers. To learn more, visit www.flexpowertools.com.
