Providence, RI – Gilbane Building Company has appointed Steven Carter as its new Director of Global Health and Safety. Carter brings a wealth of experience in safety leadership to the role, having spent 19 years in senior safety positions at a global construction management firm.

Carter’s background includes both operational and safety roles, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the industry. He holds a master’s degree in occupational safety and health and is a certified expert in the field.
In his new role, Carter will be responsible for driving Gilbane’s commitment to incident and injury-free projects. He will focus on enhancing the company’s safety programs, training initiatives, and overall safety culture.
