Join Gains Strategic Investment from DPR Construction and STO Building Group
OAKLAND, Calif. — Sept. 11, 2025 — Join, the leading preconstruction and design phase management software platform, announced today it has secured a new round of growth investment led by WND Ventures (the venture arm of DPR Construction) and STO Building Group (STOBG), two of the nation’s largest contractors ranked in the ENR Top Five. The financing round also included participation from both existing backers and new investors.
With this infusion of capital, Join will focus on expanding its customer success team, scaling its platform adoption across North America, and accelerating its roadmap in design and preconstruction — phases where strategic decisions carry the highest impact on cost efficiency, collaboration, and overall project outcomes.

“While software for construction’s active phase has seen wide adoption, preconstruction has lagged until recently,” said Andrew Zukoski, Co-Founder and CEO of Join. “Our platform is now a proven tool used across North America. This investment by DPR and STOBG signals that these firms recognize the impact Join is having inside their businesses and their desire to participate in the next chapter as we continue to scale across the industry.”
Driving Efficiencies in Preconstruction
DPR Construction, an early innovator in adopting digital workflows, views Join as the next natural evolution of construction technology.
“When we started DPR, our business was almost 100% manual,” said Eric Lamb, DPR and WND Board Member. “Join is the next evolution, helping us bring enormous efficiencies to our preconstruction workflows and more predictable project outcomes by enabling cost and procurement to inform design.”
STOBG leaders pointed to specific project successes as evidence of the platform’s impact. “Our teams using Join are reporting real, quantifiable efficiencies,” said Jim Donaghy, Executive Chairman of STOBG. He highlighted Layton Construction’s use of Join on the St. Vincent Hospital project in Montana, where the team was able to procure 78% of key trades during the Conceptual Design phase and secure early funding. “Join provides owners with greater transparency, clarity, and outcome certainty.”
Rob Leon, STOBG Chief Innovation Officer, added: “At OAC meetings, our job is to arm clients with clear, easy-to-understand information. Join helps us do exactly that—not only visualizing the data but memorializing it.”

The investment also reflects a broader industry transformation toward digital-first solutions.
“The people planning these buildings no longer want to live in spreadsheets and emails; they demand cloud-based, real-time, collaborative solutions,” said Jesse Devitte, Co-Founder and General Partner of Building Ventures, an investor since Join’s Series A. “The majority of our network is using Join’s digital solution, which is clearly aligned with this generational shift and which made it easy for us to double down on our investment.”
Scaling for Industry Impact
Join positions itself as a mature, enterprise-ready solution for consolidating workflows, linking design deliverables with procurement, and embedding robust cost analysis into preconstruction.
“Join is a mature solution that consolidates workflows, connects design deliverables to procurement, and embeds robust cost analysis. Today’s fast-tracked projects enable stunning efficiencies, but require tight decision coordination between owners, design and construction teams. Join makes this possible,” Zukoski said.
Currently, more than 50% of the ENR Top 50 contractors use Join to drive efficiency and collaboration on projects across North America. By investing further in customer support and platform innovation, the company aims to deepen adoption not only at the project level but also across full portfolios.
