Kadence Launches SpaceOps to Revolutionize Workplace Planning With Real-Time Data

SAN FRANCISCO — Kadence has introduced SpaceOps, a new AI-powered platform designed to help enterprise workplace teams make data-driven space planning decisions and execute them within a single system.

The platform integrates portfolio scenario modeling, floor design, team assignments and automated execution, all powered by real-time occupancy data already generated within the organization. By combining planning and execution into one environment, the company aims to eliminate inefficiencies common in traditional workplace management tools.

Unlike legacy solutions that depend on sensors, external consultants or disconnected systems, SpaceOps leverages existing workplace data — such as desk bookings, attendance patterns and team collaboration behavior — to inform decisions.

AI-Driven Planning Built on Real Occupancy Insights

At the core of SpaceOps is a conversational AI agent that allows planners to direct workplace strategies using natural language inputs. Users can request scenarios such as consolidating office space or reorganizing teams, with the system generating configurations based on real occupancy trends and floorplan data.

“Workplace leaders are making million-dollar portfolio decisions every day with data they know they can’t fully trust, and with tools that were never built for the job. SpaceOps changes that,” said Dan Bladen, co-founder and CEO of Kadence. “It uses the occupancy signal your organization is already generating, turns it into a plan you can defend in front of a CFO, and carries that plan all the way through to go-live. That has never existed in a single platform.”

The AI system, developed in-house by Kadence, has been trained on years of workplace occupancy data, floorplan context and team structures. The company said this enables more accurate modeling compared to traditional tools that rely on static organizational charts or industry benchmarks.

Planners retain full control over decisions, with the ability to modify, override or re-run AI-generated recommendations.

Unified Platform Connects Strategy and Execution

SpaceOps operates within Kadence’s broader platform, which employees already use for desk and room bookings. This integration ensures that occupancy data is continuously updated without requiring additional hardware or manual input.

The system is built on a dual architecture combining SpaceOps and WorkOps. While WorkOps captures real-time behavioral data from daily workplace activity, SpaceOps uses that information to drive strategic planning decisions.

The result, according to the company, is a continuous feedback loop in which operational data informs strategy, and strategic decisions are implemented within the same system.

Kadence said the platform is particularly suited for hybrid and multi-site organizations seeking to optimize space utilization while reducing costs and improving efficiency.

The launch reflects a growing trend toward data-driven workplace management, as companies look to adapt office environments to evolving employee behaviors and flexible work models.
