McShane Construction Company Completes Schuetz Container Systems’ Manufacturing Facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Kenosha, Wisconsin – McShane Construction Company is pleased to announce the completion of a build-to-suit manufacturing and distribution facility for Schuetz Container Systems in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The manufacturer of industrial packaging is part of the globally operating Schütz Group, which is headquartered in Germany. McShane provided design-build construction services for this 372,000-square-foot facility.

Positioned on a 25-acre site, the precast building offers a 40’ clear height with 48 truck docks, four drive-in doors, 245 trailer parking spaces, and six 4,000-amp power services. The facility also integrates a two-story, 14,000-square-foot office, mezzanines throughout the manufacturing areas, and four interior cranes to assist with equipment installation and moving materials.

“We’re pleased to introduce this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to Kenosha,” stated Tom Beres, Regional Vice President – Industrial at McShane. “We are confident that the scale, design, and functionality of this project will widely benefit Schuetz Container Systems.”

McShane also completed a railroad extension, bringing three rail lines to the site.

As a design-build project, McShane worked closely with the client and architect, Harris Architects, to ensure the building adhered to the highest quality and constructability standards.
