McShane Construction Company and Continental Properties Begin Construction on Their 25th Development, Located in Opelika, Alabama
Opelika, Alabama – McShane Construction Company was selected by repeat client Continental Properties to build Springs at Opelika, a 252-unit garden-style multi-family community in Opelika, Alabama. The development marks McShane’s 25th project with Continental Properties.

Positioned on a 13.5-acre site at 3305 Gateway Drive, Springs at Opelika will feature seven three-story wood-frame apartment buildings and a central clubhouse. The community will offer studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with open-concept floor plans, luxury vinyl plank flooring, stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and in-unit washers and dryers.
Residents will have access to a first-rate amenity package that includes a pool with covered patio seating, outdoor grills, and a fire pit, an indoor/outdoor fitness center, a pet playground, a dog wash station, and a car care center. The development will also include three garage buildings with a total of 22 bays, a mail kiosk, and a trash enclosure.
Completion of Springs at Opelika is expected for January 2028. Excel Engineering, Inc. is the architect and BSI is the civil engineer.
McShane has partnered with Continental on developments in 11 states across the country. In addition to Springs at Opelika, the firms are underway with Springs at Port Wentworth, a 252-unit community in Port Wentworth, Georgia.
