Industrial builder Nox Group is expanding into Reno to support a major 100-megawatt data center project, signaling continued momentum in the region’s fast-growing digital infrastructure market. The move positions the company to capitalize on rising demand for mission-critical construction across the Southwest.

The expansion will be driven by its electrical contracting arm, Corbins, which specializes in complex facility design and installation. Through this effort, Nox Group expects to grow its Nevada workforce from 180 to approximately 250 employees by the end of the year, adding roles across skilled trades, operations, and support functions.
Leadership and Local Expertise Drive Expansion
The Reno operations will be led by Lane Moore, Corbins’ Vice President of Operations, who brings decades of experience in semiconductor and advanced manufacturing construction. His background includes work on one of the largest advanced manufacturing campuses in Northern Nevada, giving the company a strong foundation in the region.
“Reno has quickly become one of the most important construction markets in the country for mission-critical infrastructure,” said Moore. “The projects happening here require teams that know how to manage complexity at scale. Nox Group brings that depth of experience, and we’re focused on building a strong local team that can deliver for customers and grow with this region.”
Rising Demand for Mission-Critical Infrastructure
Nox Group’s expansion reflects broader industry trends as data center development accelerates nationwide. The company anticipates sustained demand for digital infrastructure, particularly as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing continue to scale.
“The Reno-Sparks region is experiencing extraordinary momentum right now,” said Nox Group President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Ayres. “We’re seeing demand for digital infrastructure at a scale that could make this one of North America’s most important data center markets. Expanding here allows our people to grow into that opportunity while helping our customers bring critical infrastructure online.”
Beyond the data center project, the expansion enables Nox Group’s broader network—including RMCI, Nox Innovations, and Construction Labels—to support regional needs such as water infrastructure, prefabrication, and virtual construction services.
Long-Term Investment in Regional Growth
Headquartered in Phoenix, with a growing footprint in San Marcos, Nox Group emphasized its long-term commitment to community investment alongside project delivery.

“Our approach has always been to grow alongside the communities we serve,” said Ayres. “Beyond project delivery, we’re focused on contributing to the region’s continued evolution as a hub for advanced industry and innovation.”
Additional Insights and Industry Impact
The Reno-Sparks area is emerging as a key hub for data center and advanced manufacturing development due to its access to land, energy infrastructure, and proximity to West Coast markets. Nox Group’s entry adds to a growing cluster of contractors and technology firms investing in the region.
This expansion also highlights a broader shift in construction, where firms are increasingly specializing in high-tech, mission-critical projects that require precision engineering, advanced planning, and integrated delivery models. As demand for digital infrastructure continues to rise, companies like Nox Group are positioning themselves to lead in a sector defined by scale, speed, and technical complexity.
In the long term, such investments are expected to strengthen regional economies, create high-paying skilled jobs, and accelerate innovation across industries tied to data, manufacturing, and energy.
