LENEXA, Kans. — INDIANAPOLIS (May 7, 2025) — Performance Contracting announced it is hosting a major Construction Safety Week Signature Event in downtown Indianapolis, marking a milestone moment for the company and the broader industry. The event will gather approximately 1,500 participants, including onsite crew members, project team leaders, and company executives, all coming together to celebrate and reinforce safety leadership.
Construction Safety Week, founded in 2014, is an annual initiative uniting more than 70 national and global construction firms to promote safety as a shared priority across the industry. Each year, a handful of key events are spotlighted nationwide, and the Indianapolis gathering is one of only five locations chosen this year to represent the campaign’s mission of elevating safety excellence.

Jason Hendricks, President and CEO of Performance Contracting, will join other industry leaders in addressing attendees. This year’s theme, “All In Together | Plan Own Commit,” serves as a rallying call for construction professionals to take ownership of safety on every jobsite, every day.
“Construction Safety Week represents more than an annual focus on safety. It's a testament to our industry's unwavering commitment to protecting our most valuable asset: our people,” said Jason Hendricks. “As the first subcontractor to join the Construction Safety Week board, we're honored to be participating and helping to lead the conversation about safety. This event demonstrates how collaboration and shared purpose can transform our industry's culture.”
The Indianapolis event will include safety demonstrations, interactive workshops, and opportunities for workers at every level to engage with leadership on how to build safer worksites. The gathering also underscores Performance Contracting’s broader role in advocating for safety standards across the industry.
As an employee-owned company with a history spanning over 60 years, Performance Contracting has established itself as a leader in both the commercial and industrial construction sectors. The company’s commitment to safety is reflected in its outstanding Experience Modification Rate (EMR), surpassing national benchmarks and reinforcing a culture where worker well-being comes first.
By serving as one of just five Signature Event hosts this year, Performance Contracting signals its deep investment in shaping safety leadership not only within its own ranks but across the construction ecosystem.
The event will further cement the company’s role as a safety innovator and collaborator, aiming to inspire a shared responsibility for safety among its workforce and industry peers.
