Located in Irving, the luxury resort is adding four distinct spaces—the Terrace Conservatory, the outdoor Terrace, the Portico private dining venue, and an adjoining patio—as part of the final phase of its broader $65 million transformation completed in 2024.

Set to debut in June 2026, the project will add more than 4,000 square feet of flexible event space, with a total capacity of just over 500 guests. The design emphasizes a seamless blend of interior sophistication and natural surroundings, reflecting a growing demand for adaptable, experience-driven venues.

Terrace Conservatory: A Light-Filled Event Space

At the center of the redevelopment is the 2,972-square-foot Terrace Conservatory, designed to host approximately 170 guests. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing for abundant natural light and visual connection to the surrounding outdoor terrace.

Architectural and interior highlights include:

  • Italian Travertine flooring and warm wood finishes
  • White acoustic walls complemented by bronze accents
  • Customizable layered lighting systems
  • Flexible seating arrangements with modern and mid-century-inspired furnishings

The venue is positioned to accommodate a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to weddings and social gatherings.

“We’ve hosted countless corporate meetings, weddings and social functions over the years at the resort and this additional space is just what we’ve needed to accommodate additional small and mid-size events,” said Guntram Merl, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. “We know our planners want natural light, flexibility, and a setting that feels special without being rigid – and that’s precisely what will be delivered this June upon completion.”

Portico: Expanding Private Dining and Event Options

Complementing the Conservatory is the 1,130-square-foot Portico venue, designed for more intimate gatherings of up to 55 guests. The space opens onto a connected terrace with views of the resort’s pool and landscaped grounds.

With a mid-century modern aesthetic, Portico is designed to support a mix of private dining, pop-up events, and customized experiences, offering planners additional flexibility within the resort’s event portfolio.

"From the beginning, our vision for this property has been about creating spaces that feel both expansive and personalized. The Terrace Conservatory achieves exactly that — a luminous indoor space that draws the outdoors in and opens seamlessly onto our outdoor Terrace,” said Merl. “And with Portico, we're introducing an entirely new dimension of private dining, pop-up experiences, and versatility in experience to the resort. Together, they complete the story we set out to tell when we reopened in 2024."

Early Access for Event Planners

Ahead of the official opening, the resort is offering select meeting and event planners early access opportunities. Those who book qualifying events before December 31, 2026, will receive benefits including preferred pricing, complimentary site visits, and personalized planning consultations.

Broader Investment and Market Context

The redevelopment represents the final phase of a comprehensive $65 million upgrade that repositioned the resort as a modern luxury destination in North Texas. Spanning 400 acres, the property includes 427 guest rooms, multiple dining venues, a spa, golf courses, and more than 80,000 square feet of event space.

This latest investment reflects broader trends in the hospitality sector, where hotels are increasingly prioritizing flexible, design-forward event environments that merge indoor and outdoor experiences. Such spaces are particularly in demand for corporate retreats, destination weddings, and experiential gatherings.

By expanding its event infrastructure, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas aims to strengthen its appeal as a premier destination for both large-scale functions and more intimate, customized experiences.
