The mining company announced it has entered into an agreement with Pinion Exploration to begin access road development and drill pad construction at the project site in Lander County, Nevada. The work is intended to prepare the site for future drilling and exploration activities.

Located in the historic Battle Mountain mining district, the Gold Mountain Project consists of 34 unpatented lode mining claims covering approximately 284 hectares. The area is known for high-grade gold, silver and lead mineralization and has shown indications of porphyry-style mineralization.

Initial Construction Work Targets Site Accessibility

According to the company, the first phase of field operations includes clearing and rehabilitating the existing access road through the Copper Basin area and into lower-elevation drill pad locations on the eastern portion of the property.

The agreement also calls for extending a section of roadway to improve access to permitted drill pad locations. Pinion Exploration is expected to construct between four and six drill pads to support upcoming drilling campaigns.

The construction activities follow recent regulatory milestones for the company, including the approval of a two-year extension of its drilling permit and the securing of a reclamation bond for the project.

Element79 Gold CEO Michael Smith said the work represents a transition from project preparation into active site operations.

“This marks the transition from planning and permitting to active exploration,” Smith said.

Smith added that the phase one field operations will provide access to priority drill targets identified across the project area.

Nevada Project Positioned for Expanded Exploration

The Gold Mountain Project sits within one of Nevada’s historically productive mining regions, an area that has attracted exploration interest for decades due to its mineral potential.

Element79 Gold said the project contains structurally controlled gold-silver-lead mineralization and geological evidence suggesting the possibility of porphyry-related systems in and around the Gold Mountain intrusive formation.

The company’s latest construction activities are intended to support expanded exploration efforts and prepare the site for drilling operations expected later this year.

Element79 Gold is focused on precious metals exploration projects in the United States and continues to advance development activities across its Nevada assets.

The company has emphasized infrastructure readiness and permitting compliance as part of its broader strategy to accelerate exploration timelines and improve operational access to target zones.

Road rehabilitation and drill pad construction are often among the earliest phases of physical development at exploration-stage mining projects, allowing companies to establish safe and reliable access for crews and drilling equipment.

Nevada remains one of the leading mining jurisdictions in the United States, particularly for gold exploration and production, due to its established infrastructure, favorable geology and long mining history.
