According to ENR, more than 125 firms have already responded to this year’s survey, with additional late entries still being accepted ahead of publication. The annual ranking evaluates firms based on total regional revenue from design services and provides a snapshot of market activity, competitiveness and growth trends across the region.

The ranking covers firms operating across a broad geographic footprint, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Puerto Rico. Results will be published in the June 8 issue of ENR Texas & Southeast.

Survey Highlights Regional Design Leaders

The ENR Top Design Firms list serves as a key benchmarking tool for industry stakeholders, including owners, contractors and design professionals. Firms use the rankings to assess market visibility, compare performance against competitors and evaluate growth strategies.

Notable firms participating in this year’s survey include AECOM, Stantec, HDR, WSP USA and HNTB Corporation, among many others.

In total, more than 150 firms were included in last year’s ranking, reflecting the depth and competitiveness of the region’s design sector.

The Texas and Southeast region continues to experience strong construction activity, driving demand for architectural and engineering services across infrastructure, commercial and industrial sectors.

The ENR rankings also break down firm performance by state revenue and design disciplines, offering deeper insights into specialization areas and regional strengths.

Industry observers note that the rankings not only highlight top performers but also provide a forward-looking indicator of market trends, particularly as firms navigate challenges such as workforce shortages and increasing project complexity.

As the submission window closes, ENR expects another competitive field of firms vying for placement in one of the industry’s most closely watched regional rankings.
