A newly constructed home in East Nashville was destroyed by a late-night fire on Monday, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

Fire crews were dispatched to 515 Village Court in the Shelby Hills neighborhood after reports of a structure fire. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the large home “fully involved,” with flames engulfing much of the structure.
The property was reportedly still under construction at the time of the blaze. Neighbors told local media that work on the home had been ongoing in recent weeks, with the house nearing completion.
Firefighters worked to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Investigators are expected to examine the scene to identify what sparked the blaze and whether construction materials or equipment played a role.

Fires at homes under construction can spread rapidly due to exposed framing, open floor plans and the presence of combustible building materials. Without finished fire suppression systems or drywall barriers in place, flames can move quickly throughout a structure.
The total damage estimate has not been released, but the home appears to be a complete loss. It is unclear whether anyone was inside the building at the time of the fire.
Officials have not announced a timeline for the completion of the investigation.
